The Mayhem School of Speed is a program designed to expand and explore the knowledge and skills gained with racing and motorsports.

The desire to go fast, to race, to have fun.. usually starts at an early age. With that, MRC is proud to announce our FIRST Full Racing Program for Kids!

With TWO classes available, your kid can experience the joys of building and racing their very own Drag Car.  From sportsmanship to exploring creativity in decorating their car, the kids will learn the fundamentals of racing throughout the season.

Complete with a season points system and trophies, racing tree & timing system provided by Vista Ascent Solutions, our very own custom dragstrips, and pre-race tech inspections makes the School of Speed a proper competition.

Classes

The 2024 Race Season will be limited to two classes.
Ages 3-10 (Driver)
Each Driver must provide their own vehicle.
Each Driver may only be registered to ONE Class.
A vehicle may only be registered to ONE Driver

The inaugural season begins with 'Power Wheel' style vehicles.

Every vehicle must originate from a store bought Power Wheel (any brand is allowed)

Stock

  • "Buy & Assemble" Class

  • NO Mechanical modifications

  • Cosmetic alterations allowed (paint, stickers, vinyl, ect)

  • All parts of vehicle must be installed

  • 12-volt max. No Battery Upgrades

  • All Tires must be Stock (No rubber added)​

  • Age 3-4 Parental Remote Control Allowed

Power-Mod

  • "Modified" Class

  • Motor Swaps Allowed (Must be BRUSHED motors)

  • Cosmetic alterations allowed (paint, stickers, vinyl, ect)

  • Can Upgrade Battery to 24v max

  • May Add Rubber Strips to Rear Tires

  • Front Tires may be upgraded to Custom 'Skinnies'

  • NO Parental Remote Control Allowed

  • Factory Gearbox only (NO Belt/Chains)

  • Wheelie Bars required

The 2024 Race Schedule includes 3 Season Events. Winners of each event will be announced day of racing.  Locations for each event will be announced privately via email.  Track locations will be in the Denver Metro area.

Season Championship Winner will be announced at ColoRETRO (our 80s & 90s Carshow!) Vehicles will be on display for spectators and we will have open racing available for the kids.

SAFETY

Safety of everyone involved is our #1 priority.
 

ALL Drivers are required to wear helmets

 - Bicycle helmets are allowed

Additional protective gear recommended but not required. May be worn at parent discretion (ie - full race helmet, elbow pads, long sleeves)

Closed toed shoes (sneaker style) required for ALL drivers.

Seat Belts are required on all vehicles

All vehicles must have side walls/doors. Open leg style (quad/4x4) not permitted. 
Certain classes may have additional safety requirements

Please remember to select the appropriate Class for your driver. 

You may purchase a full season ($60) or races individually. Please note the season points will total from the first 3 races (June 22, July 13, & Aug 17)
